MOTION

Motion components and interfaces.

6 blocks. Review operating duty, receiving interface and supplier documentation before selection.

Selection boundaries

Single-axis stepper & drive

Holding torque is not the available torque throughout the speed range. Confirm acceleration, inertia and thermal duty.

Brushless motor & drive

Match motor feedback, drive and receiving controller. CAN or UART applies only when supported at both ends; traction and cutting loads are separate.

Planetary gearhead

Check the motor adapter and output-bearing limits. Harmonic and RV reducers are outside this gearhead slot.

Holding brake

Distinguish holding from dynamic stopping. Vertical or wheel loads require the equipment designer to establish the brake function and verify timing, monitoring and load capacity.

Incremental encoder

Match line-driver or push-pull output to the controller input. Absolute feedback remains a comparison when power-loss position retention is required.

Limit & home devices

The number and placement of switches follow the axis design. A home reference and a travel limit are different functions; neither automatically provides personnel protection.

SUPPLY SCOPE

Additional equipment and vehicle integration.

Battery packs · BMS · chargers · LiDAR · safety scanners · cameras · navigation computers · fleet software.

Review battery/BMS, charging, navigation, camera interfaces and fleet services through the associated equipment and vehicle modules. Protective-system devices and vehicle-level validation are specified for the chosen installation; availability and compatibility are confirmed per project.
